Grammar is important but not that important. I think we could all be a bit more gracious about the English we hear and read every day. We probably don’t know as much as we think we do anyway.
Let’s face it: English is quirky. It’s one of the things I love about it. I find the language I speak to be fascinating in its flexibility and unpredictability. I like how English defies conformity to simple rules. I feel sorry for folks trying to learn it, sure, but I find it endlessly amusing. That’s what these memes are all about.
