I’ve posted a few quizzes recently and have had some requests for data. Folks want to know how they did compared to others, so here goes:

This was my first shot at a quiz and it took me a long time to create it! I wonder if I should have just offered a selection of words from the list rather than the entire list of 100. Anyway, here are the results as of December 15, 2012:

Number of completed quizzes: 260

Highest Score: Jacki scored a 97%

2nd Highest Score: Gilly and 3 Anonymous quiz takers scored a 94%

Average Score: 69%

  • 90 or above: 16 (6%)
  • 80-89: 52 (20%)
  • 70-79: 69 (27%)
  • 60-69: 57 (22%)
  • 50-59: 33 (13%)
  • Below 50: 30 (12%)

Easiest Questions: 99% of quiz takers knew: chromosome, metamorphosis, photosynthesis, plagiarize, and respiration.

Hardest Question: Only 36% of quiz takers marked the correct definition for abrogate, which means to abolish.
