Recently I did a post on the expression I couldn’t care less, and its odd but common mutation I could care less. Then I came upon this video by British wit David Mitchell, who takes a harder–and funnier–stance on the issue. Just had to share it.

Hilarious! The chart really made the explanation clearer. I’ll direct my friends and students to this if they mess up. I also never thought about the error in saying “hold down the fort!” I’m afraid I’ve made that mistake. 🙂
