Irish Inventions

0

I hate to make yet another post that strays from the typical focus of the WriteAtHome blog, but there’s a good reason.

I am leaving today with my family for a two-week trip to Northern Ireland and London. Two of my daughters are dancing in the World Championships of Irish Dance in Belfast, and then we’re all heading to England for some sight seeing.

Anyway, I hope to keep the blog going while I’m away, but don’t be surprised if I miss a day or two.

I came across this infographic as I was thinking about the trip and just couldn’t resist posting it in honor of our trip.

Ten important inventions made by the Irish.

Not to be too critical, but I don’t think it’s much of a surprise to anyone that an Irishman invented Guinness! And I don’t know what’s so weird about submarines and modern chemistry, either.
