How English Teachers Actually Grade Essay Tests
I’m pretty sure this is meant to be a spoof. Assuming it is, it’s funny.

Haha, that is hilarious. And, um, hopefully not true. I’m glad ALL English profs aren’t like this! 😛
Well, I guess I should have made it clear that WriteAtHome coaches DO NOT mark papers this way! 🙂
No worries there! My comments back from my coaches are much too in-depth and constructive to be scribbled out in two minutes or less. 😉
Maybe the trend continues into post-secondary institutions, because I’m sure I had some profs like that! However, I’m a bit concerned it’s on the CBC–I hope people won’t draw negative conclusions about our school systems or our teachers.
Why would it matter, Cheryl, if it’s on the CBC or a U.S. network?
I guess it doesn’t matter–but it certainly feeds the stereotype of the teaching profession, people who don’t work too hard and get several months off each year! (I don’t know too many teachers like that, though!)
By the way, it’s not hard to draw negative conclusions about the U.S. school system based on it’s performance. A sit-com can’t do any more damage than actual test scores. 🙂
I use Firefox, and it’s fine there. I just tried it in Explorer and it’s a mess. I’ll try to figure it out! Thanks, John.
There. How’s that?
Weird. It IS on this page. At least when I view it. What browser are you using?
Can you include the video on this page also, not just on the home page? Thanks.
